2. EVERY TWO POINTS ALTERNATE SERVES

Each player gets 2 serves, and If one of the players scores 11 points, but there is a deuce (10:10). In that case, each player gets only one serve and it alternates until one of the players gets a two point lead. Can you lose on a serve in Table Tennis? Yes!  No separate rule for serving on Game Point.

3. TOSS THE BALL UP WHEN SERVING

Hold the ball in your open palm, behind your end of the table. Toss straight up, and strike it on the way down. It must hit your side of the table and over the net then the other side. Once the ball leaves the server’s hand it is in play, and counts as the receiver’s point if the ball is missed or not cross the net .

4. THE SERVE CAN LAND ANYWHERE on table in SINGLES (correction)

There is no restriction when singles game is going on you serve (Right to Right, Right to left , Left to left and Left to Right ) where the ball lands on your side or your opponent’s side of the table. It can bounce more than one time on opponent’s side than that’s your point, bounce over the side, or even hit the edge.

5. DOUBLES SERVES MUST GO RIGHT COURT TO RIGHT COURT

The serve must bounce in the server’s right court, and receiver’s right court . Doubles partners switch places after their team serves twice. (NOTE: landing on center line is fair)

6. A SERVE THAT TOUCHES THE NET it IS A “LET”serve

Can the ball hit the net in Table Tennis ? Yes, during a RALLY, if it touches the top of the net and then otherwise lands as a legitimate hit. BUT not at serving. If a served ball hits the net on the way over and otherwise legally bounces in play, it’s a “let” serve and is done over. There is no limit on how many times this can happen If the ball hits the net and doesn't make it to the other half of the table, the receiver is automatically awarded a point..
